Introducing MALIM

A vital new channel for mission support, development and innovation, born out of a need to address…

  • An abundance of mission opportunity. — The Mid-Atlantic region is one of the largest and most diverse mission fields in North America.

  • Changing patterns of mission support. — The appeal of giving to a denominational entity that then makes decisions on distribution of those funds locally is changing as new generations seek to be involved more directly in choosing, supporting, and volunteering for projects of interest to them.

  • Funding innovative models for ministry in the 21st century church. New opportunities in urban ministry, ethnic outreach, programs to address pastoral shortages, neighborhood ministry, and international mission all need funding for innovative models. (See the list of current projects listed under "Mission Projects".)

If you choose to partner with MALIM in this endeavor…

  • You choose the project or field of ministry you want to support with money and/or time.

  • All funds go to the project you have designated.  A volunteer network is needed to eliminate paid staff and overhead.

  • We are an independent 501(c)(3) organization that minimizes staff and administrative expense by working in consultation with the Southeastern District, LCMS on regional projects, and with Mission Central, a similar organization to ours, that works with direct support of Southeastern District-based LCMS international missionaries.

  • The ministry you support is pledged to keep in touch with you and inform you of progress and ways in which you might help.

If you feel a desire to be actively involved in making an impact through a specific project you have chosen, and feel it is important to give back to God in time and/or money from the gifts God has given you, keep us in prayer and partner with us as an individual or congregation.
